Our History
Roskam Baking Company has been making a variety of delicious bakery products and snacks since 1923. Located west of the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, we began as a family-run business baking fresh pies in 1923. Then, as the depression and the lifting of prohibition combined to cut the demand for pies, we responded to the changing market by shifting our production to bread and other fresh bakery products. In 1972, we shifted again, this time toward dry wheat-based products, including croutons, stuffing, and breadcrumbs. Over the years we have continued to grow our product lines and have branched out into a variety of food categories, becoming one of the top co-manufacturers to many of the world’s biggest food brands.

The Roskam Baking Company portfolio also includes Organic Milling. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in San Dimas, California, Organic Milling is a leading contract manufacturer of “better-for-you” cereal, granola, snacks, and ingredients for leading brands and private label customers. Organic Milling provides customers a broad range of processing and packaging options with a focus on organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Primary product offerings include a variety of granolas and extruded items such as rice crisps, high-fiber twigs, flakes, and coated puffs.
